Sara E. Mayhew, is a writer and illustrator that Canada’s prestigious Applied Arts magazine called “young blood commanding our attention”. Her work has been published by Owl Kids and Scholastic. In 2009, the TED conference accepted Sara into their TED Fellowship program for her work to promote science and humanism through manga. Her guest appearances include speaking on the Fellows stage at TED’09 in Long Beach, CA, TEDActive’10 in Palm Springs, CA, the Center for Inquiry in Hollywood, CA, The Amaz!ng Meeting in Las Vegas, NV, and as a special guest at San Diego Comic Con 2014. Nokia featured her in their Responsiveness campaign video on communicating the values of science literacy through art. The Ontario Arts Council has twice awarded Sara with their Northern Arts grant for visual artists working in Northern Ontario.
